soLid first starting going to parties in the Midwest about 13 years ago and has had a love/facination with the music ever since. He quickly identified Drum n’ Bass as his poison of choice. After a few years of bouncing around the Midwest scene from Chicago to Cincinnatti, he moved to Bloomington, IL and was introduced to the Central Illinois Alliance (CIA). The CIA were a group of experienced DJs that had began to throw both large scale and weekly events. He continued the party kid role – all the while watching and learning how to throw an event correctly from the CIA. After a couple years of riding on their coat tails, soLid decided it was time for him to learn how to DJ. He reached out to long time friend and house DJ, DJ Impact (RIP), for advice and mentorship. DJ Impact taught him how to beatmatch, patted him on the butt and told him to never, ever give up. SoLid took that advice to heart. Since that day, soLid has traveled all over the country (and some remote parts of the world) searching for additions to his own unique style of DnB. He has played all types of events from house party to massive and enjoys sharing his interpretation of good music with everyone. Now in Denver, he co-founded Wicked Wayz and has been promoting and playing at several venues in the Mile High City. He has big plans for Wicked Wayz and would love for you to be there when they come to fruition!
