Wicked Wayz
Drum and Bass; Breaks; Techno
Born in West Columbia SC, but raised in Atlanta GA, I’m about as DiRtY as they come. Growing up I had no musical influences, considering that neither of my parents listened to anything. Therefore I am proud to say that my influences an opinions are 100% my own. I was introduced to the music scene at the age of 15 by a great friend of mine named Brad Hallman (RIP). He was in a rock band and introduced me to what would develop into my new life. Soon thereafter I tried my hands at any instrument I could get them on. Guitar, Drums, Bass, I tried them all. Although very exciting, none of these seemed to grab me the way the guitar did Brad, so my search continued. Two years later, at the age of 17, I stumbled onto something that would change my life forever. A whole in the wall club on the west side of Atlanta, named Skylab. I had heard of parties like this but never been to one. To keep a long story short I was hooked. The music was unbelievable, the people so accepting and the atmosphere addicting. I came to find out later that the DJ that night was someone all of you probably know, The Chemical Bros. So I soon moved to the City and began my search anew. I landed a job at a club called Club Anytime, named this because it DID NOT close. Soon thereafter I met yet another person willing to change my life. The DJ of our club and many others, Lil’ Steven, amazed me with his flawless mixing an understanding of electronic music. After much begging he took me under his wing and taught me what I needed to know in order to start my new path as a DJ. Now after many parties and heartaches, I find myself in Denver CO. Still chasing the dream, I know that what I want to do is without a doubt the best job this world can offer me. And I will die before I give up.
Peace, love an Chicken grease.
